About Me

I agree with Rilke when he says “There is nothing alien or foreign to us, but only what has long been our own.”

Through my journey of self-exploration, I come to find even the most peculiar corners of myself and the world around me now friends in a more familiar place. It was just a matter of looking.

I got it, I was caught by it, that we're co-creating universes within ourselves and the world we move through. When we are quiet, still, and listen closely, we hear the Storyteller within - unwinding paths of Truth and Purpose, and our return to Source and what we are.  Among the wonders I’ve experienced in my journey of self-discovery, none compare with knowing that I am loved by the Creator of all things. In my practice I see and feel this every day, that we exist in the space of becoming known every moment.

And then there is the wisdom and generosity of Guiding Stories like The Prodigal son and Voltaire’s Candide - tales about cities of gold, eating with swine, ambition, achievement, and loss, and through everything, coming to our senses. I love these stories, what they tell us about ourselves and how they end, home again among friends and family doing simple things with great adventures to talk about and lessons to share.

Ultimately, we find ourselves through the stories we tell.  I am in constant awe of the boundless power within each breath and every thought that, like streams of consciousness, ease their way to that Ocean of Consciousness and guiding force deep within every life and living thing.  We are that which we tell, stories that can only be known as they are told and only in the telling.

Namaste
