Pillar of the Heart

Shinbashira is a Japanese term that literally translates to “pillar of the heart”. It refers to a central pillar at the core of a building or structure. In traditional Japanese architecture, the Shinbashira was placed at the center of a building as an anchor of stability and balance. The purpose was to provide structural strength while allowing for flexibility in other parts of the structure. Today, this concept is still being used in modern buildings and structures around Japan, but it also carries deeper, symbolic meaning beyond its original purpose. Shinbashira can be a felt presense as a deep internal state of personal grounding in the origin of our life, the unbreakable connection we share with each other, and the Source of all life.

There is a Truth at the core each and every one of us - the key to a deep lineage of Spiritual practices. By embarking on a journey of open-hearted, self-exploration and paying close attention to our experiences, we are able to tap into this rich tradition and develop our own unique practices that allow us to connect  our inner selves with others, and the Field of Energy from which All Things Come and to which All Things Return.

Self-exploration asks for dedication, patience, and a willingness to delve deep into the core of our being. Committing ourselves to this journey we are able to unlock a powerful, inner source of wisdom and insight that will guide us along a path to the Pillar of our own Heart and a profound sense of peace and clarity.   Namaste.
